LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ninety companies shot new life into the economy last night by introducing and demonstrating new products and technologies for work, home and play to more than 1,000 journalists, analysts and bloggers attending ShowStoppers, the press-only special event during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

"At ShowStoppers events, journalists get to see, touch, feel and play with new products, as they are announced," said Steve Leon, partner. "For exhibiting companies, it's an incredibly effective use of executive time and marketing dollars in a tough economy. There's nothing like being one-on-one and face-to-face with a reporter – who's actually holding your product in her hands – to help push product coverage and interviews."

CBS News/CNET, Fox Business News, Dave Graveline's "Into Tomorrow," BNETtv, TechTalkRadio, RCR Wireless, AVING.net, Computer Outlook and Slashgear broadcast, streamed, podcast and blogged live from reserved stages inside ShowStoppers – and recorded additional coverage for later broadcast.

Some of the journalists, analysts and bloggers tracking hot products from cool companies included, among others, ABC News, Andy Seybold, Ars Technica, Associated Press, Barron's, BBC, Bloomberg, Boston Globe, BusinessWeek, Car & Driver, CNBC, CNN, Consumer Reports, Crunchgear, Electronic House, engadget, Esquire, Financial Times, Frankfurter Allgemeine, gadgetell, Gartner, gizmodo, Good Housekeeping, Iconoculture, IDC, IDG News Service, Laptop Magazine, Los Angeles Times, MSNBC, NBC News, New York Times, Nikkei, NPD, PC Magazine, PC World, Popular Science, Reuters, Revision3, T3, theStreet.com, TWICE, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Which?, Wired and ZDF.
